This Saturday at 9am at Heroes Downtown SJ, I will be doing a seminar on joint training using the Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) system.
FRC takes the way you think about training and turns it inside out.. with science.
When we think about getting fit, we think about movements like the bench, deadlift, and squat. We only really focus on the joints that create these movements when we get injured. And when the pain goes away, we ditch the boring exercises and go right back to business as usual.. until it happens again.
By shifting the paradigm to prioritize training the joints that create movement, you can still train squats and deadlifts. But if you don’t have a hip that works like a hip should, those movements would not be prioritized. Making your hip function the way it’s supposed to is more important.
This is more than stretching, it’s not easy, but it can do more for your body on and off of the mat than you can possibly imagine if you get into it the same way you’re doing Jiu Jitsu. –
