I came to Heroes after being invited by my friend to come out and roll. \u00a0As I walked in to the academy, I was pleasantly surprised to find out big and spacious the mat was. \u00a0The pictures don’t really do it justice how much mat space there is. \u00a0I was greeted by owner\/ head instructor Gumby and openly welcomed into the gym.<\/p>\n
The facility is top notch: Swain mats over 2400sqft, restrooms and private changing rooms, water fountain. \u00a0 I came as the team was getting their last training in before a tournament so Gumby worked mainly on fixing small mechanics. \u00a0His teaching method is very methodical and detail oriented. \u00a0I felt was very specific in his concept that he wanted to teach. I only expected to come for an open mat and I ended up staying for 2 and half hours.<\/p>\n
There are lots of choices in the Silicon Valley for Jiu-jitsu, but I highly recommend Heroes for anybody at any skill level. \u00a0Not only for the great instruction and facility, but for the friendly environment as well.<\/p>\n
I will definitely come back to train here again!<\/p>\n
